Use compressed air or a soft brush first to remove loose dust and sheet scraps. If you do this before any liquid, you won't be painting dust into the mold's corners.

2. Match the cleaning solvent to the resin that actually touched the mold

PET residue isn't the same as PS residue. PETG is not the same as PET. And a recycled-content PET sheet can behave differently from a virgin PET sheet, even if the supplier is the same.
